Along with all the eating I have been doing over the past two weeks, I have also been doing quite a bit of drinking. At home, my go to is a glass of Cabernet in the winter and Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay in the summer. Occasionally I will break out the shaker and make a bourbon Old Fashioned but mostly I stick to a glass (or two) or wine. It is such a treat to sit at a bar and have someone else do the mixing. All I have to do is drink and enjoy. Even my hubby, who rarely drinks at home, has been indulging in a nightly cocktail. One of the things I love about NYC is that I am perfectly comfortable sitting alone at a bar, having a drink and a meal. I could do it at home, I suppose, if we had any bars with food worth eating. Here the conundrum is more which place to choose, and which cocktail to try. I am trying as many as I can!
