Sunday night dinner, our first in New York, had to be Eataly. It’s touristy but I love sitting at the bar and having a glass of Chianti and some prosciutto, olives and bread. We did a little shopping after, picking up a giant 2 pound bag of pasta, and a Moka for the apartment. A Moka is a stovetop Italian espresso maker. Our little rental studio has everything we need, but no coffee maker. With a Moka and a pound of espresso, I will be all set. After dinner, we headed downtown to Big Gay Ice Cream for a Salty Pimp, vanilla soft serve with caramel, salt and a chocolate dip. I have been dreaming about this ice cream since seeing a picture of it on Instagram. My pic is blurry- I might need to go back for another.
